We welcomed a "wise woman" to Bible Study this week, and we were not disappointed! One of the things she shared was defining a blessing as an interruption that makes you focus more on God than on yourself, and for the most part, I totally agree. Saying that something is a "blessing" has almost become cliche, and I think it is a good reminder to rethink how we use words that associate with God and not let the world view taint such precious things.
So, with that said...here are some pictures of my blessings...God knows (best of all) how they have interrupted my life, for the good on most occasions. But on those days when it's an interruption that makes me think I may indeed be going crazy, I am reminded...my blessings should direct me to focus more on God than on myself. And I know that if I'm actually doing that, the "crazy" looks a lot more like us being a really special family.
