Well, the girls have been away for almost a week, and Jack was getting lonely. So, we introduced him to...his reflection. And Jack found a new friend. I'm quite sure he was most impressed with this new friend's dashing smile and distinct wobble in trying to stand. With so much in common, they were immediately fast friends. Not to mention, this new kid has a really handsome Daddy too! So, there you go...if you're ever feeling lonely, just go make a mirror friend. They NEVER hurt your feelings or borrow something without returning it...ideal! Wa-la! Perfect friend.

One of the things I discovered between having Betsy and Jack is the Bumbo seat. And I was most excited to receive one as a gift for Jack. The only problem...you can't use it until they can hold their heads up. So...Jack is finally there! He has the strength and head control to use his Bumbo seat! It's great because he can actually sit and play rather than be perpetually lying down. (We're working on tummy time, but it seems to lead to a great deal of spitting up.)
Something else you might notice in this picture...he has some seriously crazy hair going on! We stood in the sprinklers a little bit earlier when Daddy was working in the yard...now I'm used to MY hair having this kind of response to humidity and getting wet, but might I have a child who has similar hair? I'll keep you updated on that....
