The recital came, Saturday, June 19 at 2 p.m.

It was a hot summer day that threatened thunder storms, but we got family (Meme, PaPaw, Grandma, Daddy, Mommy, Porter, Jack, Aunt Loni, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Ryan) and friend (Ms. Michelle) into the Auburn High School auditorium without much drama. Betsy was allowed to sit with us during the first half to watch the bigger kids and the musical drama folks. So, that helped pass time considering how nuts it was backstage!
Betsy did a great job with ballet...poised and smiling.

She did what she was told to do with tap...which was to move in a line around cones to demonstrate varied skills. (This was painful for every parent present, I'm almost sure of it.) It was a HUGE rectangle. There were a LOT of kids. That is a lot of "door slams" and "toe dots." Then...the storm came, and an already warm auditorium was plunged into darkness for almost 30 minutes.

Until next year...
