It's not summer without CWE!!

Auburn runs eight sessions of it's 3 day, 2 night orientation...or Camp War Eagle...each summer. (I have MUCH respect for the professional staff, their spouses and students who run this program.) Those late nights were our life for several years, but since Jamie has been in a different position, it has been a wonderful privilege to return back to CWE at least once a summer for the pep rally.

Last summer and fall, Jack didn't care much for Aubie...I mean, hey, it is a tiger the size of his Daddy after all. But after meeting Aubie during Session 6, Jack can't get enough! He has gone on and on about how Aubie kissed his head and tickled his ear. And last night (during the Session 7 CWE) Jack had Aubie to himself (the girls are in TX) for the photo shoots, and he couldn't have been happier!

The girls, however are pros. So, here are some pictures that span two pep rallies:

Betsy B ready to cheer!

Jack is serious about learning cheers.

All three kids enjoy some quality time with Aubie.

Jamie and Jack...happy, happy in the football stadium. What do you expect?!

Aubie's "friends" did a dance with him this week, and Jack asked, "Who are they?" I told him they were Aubie's friends, and he asked me if he could be Aubie's friend. I told him, "Yes...if you want to be Aubie's friend when you get bigger you can, but for now Aubie loves you so much!"

Is it a sign that you've been at Auburn too long when that conversation made me tear up?! Seriously people...I don't even have a degree from here!

And if you DID go to Auburn, you will recognize this pose.
Jack is in ready position to start a cheer:

Good times...incredibly humid and hot times...but good ones all the same!
